Rescue Groups in Venezuela, a Life Commitment and Solidarity

People’s motivation to carry out actions of this nature, to participate in rescues and organize themselves in order to contribute to their community, means a clear prowess of the miracle of being human.

Therefore, these actions are not only summarized to extend human aid, but also to preserve animal life or even to minimize the risk or damages of forest fires.

Nestor Chayelle points out, that the Rescuing Corps’ strategies are consolidated in our country since the earthquake of 1967. Nonetheless, there were already groups that helped into providing their services as aid in the mackerel of some earthquake or floods.

Based on these humanitarian junctions, the Venezuelan Rescue Group (GRV) was founded.

On December 28, 1968, the Venezuelan Rescue Group was founded; this foundation was achieved by a group of 14 volunteers, whose motto is inspired by life and its prolongation: “For others to Live.” This group was dedicated to assist people in high risk situations, such as, forest fires, natural disasters, etc.

Their functions are basically to carry out excursion activities and provide assistance when needed, by taking care of the incidents that need immediate attention due to survival risks that may occur.

Nestor Cheyelle invites you to meet them; if you want to support them or just want to do coaching and training courses for rescues or excursions, you just need to take a look on their website and contact them.
